Rebecca B. Nash, FNP is a lifelong resident of Chilhowie, Virginia. She has been providing healthcare to patients in her hometown at Greever Clinic/Family Care of Chilhowie since 1999. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Radford University in 1995 and worked as a Registered Nurse at Bristol Regional Medical Center until completing graduate school through the University of Virginia earning a Master of Science in Nursing in 1999. She is AANP and ANCC certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She is also a FMCSA certified medical examiner and performs physicals for commercial motor vehicle drivers. She is married to JD Nash and they have three children, James, Eden, and River. Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys lots of family time.
Matthew A. Jones, NP-C is a native of Marion, Virginia. He completed undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia's College at Wise prior to working in critical care. He then attended graduate school at Lincoln Memorial University and is now an AANP certified family nurse practitioner, and is a FMCSA certified medical examiner and performs physical qualification examinations for commercial motor vehicle drivers. He has been with Family Care of Chilhowie since 2015 and has made a point to remain local and work to provide quality care for the patients of the region. He currently resides in Marion, Virginia with his wife Samantha.
Gerard H. Murphy, M.D. is Board Certified in family practice and resides in Chilhowie, Virginia with his wife Jennifer and two boys Connor and Kyle. His undergraduate degree was in chemical engineering. He graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1990, Magna cum laude. Graduate studies were at the University of Connecticut Medical School in Farmington, Connecticut, graduating in 1994. Residency was completed at Middlesex Community Hospital in Middletown, Connecticut in 1997; he was selected by his peers to be Chief Resident in his final year of residency. He moved to Chilhowie in 1997 to join the Family Care of Chilhowie Practice and has been in continuous practice there for more than 20 years. He felt a calling to choose family medicine and practice in a rural, underserved area to help the broadest range of patients where high quality health care is needed most. Hobbies include basketball, golf, restoring classic cars, and enjoying the great outdoors.
